 MSHA (The Mine Safety and Health Administration) has mandated MSHA Part 46 for surface mining operations. Part 46 covers training and retraining at surface mining operations at the following types of mines: sand, gravel, marble, granite, sandstone, surface stone, surface clay, slate, shale, traprock, kaolin, cement, felspar, colloidal phosphate, surface limestone, and lime. Part 46 also covers shell dredging. Part 46 does not cover surface operations of underground mines. Those workers who operate only on the surface of underground mines are trained under Part 48 which covers underground mine operations. Even truck drivers who unload and load on mine premises are required to receive training under Part 46 for Site Specific Hazard Awareness. |

dangerous place. The best way to protect your employees is through
electrical hazard safety training. Electrocution is the 4th leading
cause of death in the construction industry and contrary to common held

 Captain Sullenberger landed his plan on the Hudson it was hailed as a miracle and it made "Sully" an instant national hero and legend. The landing seemed like a true miracle...an one in a million lucky break, however the success of the emergency landing was really a culmination of a lifetime of preparation combined with a highly developed safety system. Captain Sullenberger modestly proclaims his life as all about routine, check-lists and procedures. This attention to detail and preparation combined with dedication saved the lives of hundreds of people. He has spent his life immersed in safety training. |
