Questions About Previews

Could you explain your free preview?

We provide VHS preview copies for most of our videos/dvds. These programs are provided for prospective buyers for evaluation purposes. Due to the high cost of shipping and producing preview copies, we can only ship them to customers with a genuine interest in renting or purchasing the programs. The preview copy is exactly the same program that you would receive for a purchase with one minor exception: it has a scrolling or occasional legal warning about using the preview for training purposes. We will send these preview copies for no charge. We only ask that you return them when the evaluation is finished.

How are the preview copies shipped?

We ship all previews UPS ground. We are located in Ohio and UPS guarantees ground delivery in 2 days from our location to almost half of the country. Any location east of Denver will be delivered within 3 days and most locations on the west coast will be delivered in 4 days. If you would like to have your preview delivered quicker we provide 2nd day and Overnight service for the cost of shipping. All preview orders for 2nd day or Overnight should be submitted by 4:30 EST to ensure proper delivery

How long can I keep a preview?

Our suggested preview time is 2 weeks, however that time is only suggested. In the real world we know it is difficult to get everyone who needs to look at the video to do so in a timely fashion. If your time with the preview runs over 4 weeks, please give us a call to let us know. We will always extend your time period.

Where do I return my preview?

Please return your preview to: TrainingABC, 136 Granville Street, 2nd Floor, Gahanna OH 43230

I see a video/dvd that I’m interested in but it doesn’t have a preview available, why?

Most of our selections that cost less than $400 do not have a preview option. This is not our choice. If there is no preview option the producer of the product has chosen not to make previews of the program and therefore we do not have them to send. Most of the time, this is because the expense of making previews is not justified due to the cost of the video. If the cost is over $400 and there is no preview option, this is because the product is fairly old and previews are no longer produced due to lack of interest. We continue to offer these older titles on our site for purchase because many customers have used them in the past and may need them as a replacement.

How should I return the preview tape(s)?

Use the cheapest and or the most convenient option for you or your company. UPS Ground or US Mail are completely acceptable.

Will I be charged if I return my preview late?

No.

Will I be charged if I lose or break the preview tape(s)?

No.

What penalties are there for using a preview tape for training?

If a preview tape is used for actual training purposes there are severe civil and criminal penalties involved. All it would take is one disgruntled employee to take action. All of our preview tapes have scrolling or occasional legal warning that states in no uncertain terms that it is illegal to use the tape for purposes other then evaluation for purchase.

Can I look at the Leader or Participant Guide with my preview?

We are in the process of placing PDF files of the Leader and Participant guide on our website and currently have them available for many of our products. Check below the description on the page for the particular product you are looking interested in for a link to the guide. If there is no link under the description then the guide is not available online. If this is the case, simply request one in the comments section when you order. If a paper copy is available we will send it.

How many videos/dvds can I preview at one time?

We do not have a set limit, however we ask that you keep it within reason. If you find yourselves having a hard time narrowing it down give us a call or send us an email. We can help you pick the right titles for you and most likely save you a ton of time in the process.

I would like to preview on DVD is this possible?

We currently have about 60% of our titles on DVD for preview. We hope to be able to provide most titles on DVD soon, however many producers do not provide them at this point.

I would like to preview online. Is this possible?

We currently have over 600 full length previews online.  To preview, go to a product's description page.  If the product has an online preview you will see an TV icon that says "Preview this program online".  Underneath the icon will be your preview options.  Click the one you want and follow the sign in process.  Once you are signed in you will have access to all 600 full length previews.

I can’t get the preview clips to work on my computer

The preview clips work best on a cable, DSL or T1 connection. If you have a fast connection and the clips still aren’t working then most likely you need to download the software necessary. All of our clips are in Flash or WMV format.  Most computers play Flash without a problem but if you still have problems you might have to talk to the dreaded IT guy.
